Koko News - Flood Update

Happy New Year to all our Koko customers!  Hope your Christmas and New Year celebrations were full of love and laughter with family and friends.

2011 has began with devastation on a scale not seen in Queensland before and will be etched in our memories forever.  Like all Australians our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the Queensland floods and throughout Australia.

Emporium Store Flood Impact

At our Emporium (Fortitude Valley) store we were evacuated and sandbagged on Tuesday 11th January.  We frantically moved as much stock as we could out of the store (thanks to John for the extra assistance) and to higher ground.  We were one of the lucky ones and did not endure any damage.  Due to the closure of roads and power outages across the city the store remained closed for a week.  Whilst our store was closed and spared from any clean up, our manager Kelly donated her time to assist with businesses and families at West End in the clean up.

After restocking the displays at the Emporium store, we are now up and running at full steam and look forward in seeing you back in store next time you visit.  Thank you for all you who had concerns regarding our Brisbane store.  The community spirit has been amazing.

Instore Now

We have new stock coming into store regularly!  We have recently updated our website with a collection of our favourites.

In late February, we will be heading off to the Reed and GHA fair in Sydney to do our Winter ordering.  We will keep you posted on styles, trends and colours for the year ahead when we come home.  Ms Koko is predicting the return of the "blues" in all it's colour spectrum from palest tone to the deepest cobalt.
